Divanan Narkunan

Divanan Narkunan

Legal Associate

N. Divanan graduated from the University of Liverpool 2nd (Upper Division) Class of Honours and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2021.

He read and completed his pupillage under pupil-master Surian Sidambaram in Surian & Partners, a leading criminal law practice during which he gained vast experience in a broad spectrum of criminal cases. Upon the completion of his pupillage and Bar examinations, N. Divanan joined Phoenix Law Corporation, accompanying his pupil-master and has practised the niche area of criminal law since.

Thus far, he has successfully defended an array of clients from all backgrounds across Singapore. Divanan is also active member of Criminal Law Legal Aid Scheme and endeavours to offer his expertise to the needy on a frequent basis.

In succinct terms, he shares:

“Each brief has its own tale to tell. My preference is to always dissect the facts from fiction and propound my case solely in the webs of evidence. A doubt with reason and rationale must prevail in a Court of Law”.

To him, the privilege to practise is a gift. Having been bestowed this gift, he strives to practise upon the tenets of trust, loyalty, empathy and most crucially, a big heart.
